The Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev has presided the session from 2 February 2007 of the Governmental Commission for central public administration reform in the Republic of Moldova. During the session, its members have examined the progress registered within the framework of the reform during 2006, as well as the future modernization and improvement activities concerning the activity of public authorities. Based on the evaluation report presented, commission members have came to the conclusion that the central public administration reform has been carried out, during 2006, in compliance with the terms established by the Government and that the majority of the activities stipulated in the Strategy for Reform have been implemented.

In 2007, the Government shall direct its efforts under the central public administration reform towards strengthening the ministerial policy elaboration and coordination function, optimizing the decision –making process. For this purpose, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved on January 10th, 2007 the Decision “On Approval of the Detailed Implementation Plan of the Strategy for Central Public Administration Reform for 2007”.

The process of central public administration (CPA) activity modernization shall be largely communicated owing to the electronic page of the central public administration reform www.rapc.gov.md, recently launched on the INTERNET. The electronic page of CPA reform has been created to ensure society with online information on activities carried out under CPA reform, to collect opinions regarding CPA reform and to facilitate the communication process among Government, civil society and civil servants etc.
