The Government approved during the meeting held on October 1, 2008 the creation of the Civil Council for monitoring the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC), which will ensure transparency of the work of the institution fighting against corruption. According to the Government Decision approved for this purpose, the Civil Council will be made of representatives of non-governmental organizations, which will perform a voluntary work.

The National Council for Participation, made of representatives of the civil society, who will assist the Government in the strategic planning process, appointed its management during a meeting held on September 30, 2008.  Arcadie Barbarosie, Executive Director of the Institute of Public Policies was appointed Chairman of the National Council for Participation, while Aurelia Bondari, Executive Director of the AGROinform, National Federation of Farmers was appointed Deputy Chair of this forum. Roman Mihaies, the representative of the National Council of the Organizations for Consumer Protection, Serghei Ostaf, Director of the Center for Resources for Human Rights CREDO, Daniela Mamaliga, Director of the public organization EveryChild Moldova, Vladimir Florea, Chairman of the Union of Transporters and Road Workers in the Republic of Moldova, Eugen Revenco, Director of the Moldovan-Lithuanian Foundation „Center of Studies on European Integration” are all members of the Permanent Bureau of the National Council for Participation.

Over 60 Government Decisions on irrelevant and outdated policy documents were abrogated by the Central Executive during the meeting held on September 24, 2008.  Natalia Catrinescu, head of Policy and External Aid Coordination Department in the Government Office specified at the Government meeting that the abrogation of the policy documents which are not consistent with the national priorities is part of the process of streamlining the strategic planning system.

Prime Minister Chairs First Meeting of National Council for Participation. „I am absolutely convinced that each of us wishes to contribute to the edification of a more prosperous society, integrated in the European community and open-minded to the changes and challenges of the time”, said Prime Minister, Zinaida Greceanii opening the meeting of the Council. The representatives of those 33 non-governmental organizations members of the National Council for Participation welcomed the readiness of the Government to ensure transparency of the decision making process, expressing their hope to enjoy further support from Government in the promotion of democratic values in Moldova.

The civil servants from local public administration in charge of HR issues are attending a training course on HR management held in the period of 15-19 September this year. The present normative framework regulating the work of civil servants, the techniques of applying the methodology of drafting the job description, the procedures of identifying the training needs of civil servants etc. are all issues addressed during the training.
