The Unit for Coordination of the Public Administration Reform within the Government Office is seeking:
MOLDOVAN-ENGLISH TRANSLATOR Full time assignment The Government of the Republic of Moldova has received financing from a Multi-Donor Trust Fund to support the Central Public Administration Reform and intends to hire a full-time Moldovan-English translator which will work in close relations with the Experts group within the Government Office (Unit for coordination of public administration reform) in implementing the central public administration reform objectives and planned activities. The Central Public Administration Reform (CPAR), comprises components such as: Institutional reorganization, Government Policy-Making capacity, Merit-based Professional Civil Service, Change Management, Information and Communication. Responsibilities: 1. Translation of documents into English and vice-versa at the request of Public Administration Reform Unit; 2. Translation of information for the English version of the PAR web-site; 3. Interpreting on occasions.
Qualifications
University degree in foreign languages/economics/law; Excellent command of English, Moldovan and Russian; Strong writing and oral communication skills; A minimum of 3 years progressive experience in translating/interpreting (at government or international organizations level); Familiarity and understanding of public administration legislation and legal terminology; Proficiency in using computer applications MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, internet and e-mail. Time Frame: one year, with possible extension subject to satisfactory performance.
